ABOUT THIS EVENT
Chicago's oldest 10K event, celebrating 32 years this Memorial Day. The 5K run/walk and 10K run are certified courses that wind through the historic and beautiful Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhoods. Youth Mile Fun Run available for ages 6 to 12. Free Tot Run ages 6 and under, no registration required.

DATE / TIME
The Ridge Run will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31st. The 10K Run begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. The 5K Run/Walk begins promptly at 9:30 a.m. The Youth Mile Fun Run for ages 6 - 12 begins at 8:10 a.m.

RUNNER / WALKER PREMIUMS
NEW: ONLY registrants who sign up online by April 30, 2010 will have the option of a cotton t-shirt or paying $2.00 extra for a premium dry-tech shirt.
Participants who register after April 30 will receive a cotton t-shirt. All participants will receive a goodie bag and light post race refreshments. Local vendors will be onsite selling food and non-alcoholic drinks.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICKUP
Race day registration and packet pick up are located in the Ridge Park Field house, 2nd floor gymnasium between 6:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

AGE GROUPS
5K AND 10K RUN: 10 & UNDER 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & OVER. YOUTH MILE FUN RUN: AGES 6-12.

AWARDS
The top three men and women in each race will receive awards which will be presented on stage. Prize money is awarded to the top 3 men and women in the 5K and 10K races. Awards will be available for pick up at the awards tent located next to the stage. The Youth Mile Fun Run is not a timed race. Medals will be awarded to the top boy and girl finishers.

RESULTS
Results will be posted at the awards tent following the race and online at www.bapa.org and www.cararuns.org.

PARKING
There is a parking lot at 95th and Longwood Drive. Parking is also available on residential streets adjacent to Ridge Park.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Brightroom Photography will be on site taking pictures of runners as they pass by. Runner’s will be able to purchase pictures of themselves after the event. To see pictures taken of last year's event please click here.

VOLUNTEERS
If you know someone who could help as a volunteer, please let us know. Volunteer duties include course marshals, registration and packet pick up, and water stations. You can sign up online simply by clicking here and using our online form.

POST RACE MEMORIAL DAY FESTIVAL
Entertainment, food, Memorial Day Parade, Memorial Day Service and community networking immediately following the races and awards ceremonies. There will also be children's activities including a Tot Run, teddy bear clinic, face painting, balloons, and more
