9th Annual Beverly Breast Cancer Walk

The 9th Annual Beverly Walk Against Breast Cancer will be held on Mother’s Day, May 11, starting at 8 a.m. More than 7,500 walkers turned out in support in last year’s Beverly Breast Cancer Walk and this year it is expected that 10,000 walkers will show their support.

Beverly/Morgan Park Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony Honors US Armed Forces
|

Community groups are expected to participate in this year’s Memorial Day Parade, organized by the Beverly Area Planning Association and the office of 19th Ward Alderman Ginger Rugai. The parade follows the 31st annual Ridge Run, Monday, May 26, stepping off at about 10:30 a.m. from 110th and Longwood Drive and proceeding north to Ridge Park, 97th and Longwood Drive. Memorial Day activities following the parade at Ridge Park include a Color Guard ceremony remembering men and women of the United States armed forces, both past and present. |

38th Annual Beverly Hills/Morgan Park Home Tour Set for May 18

“People will not want to miss the Home Tour this year,” said tour coordinator Katie Durkin. “The Tour has a great mix of outstanding and versatile houses with a variety of decorating styles; two outstanding historic places; and a brand new, state of the art senior residence. 31st Annual Ridge Run is May 26
|

The 31st annual Ridge Run will bring back its new 10K route, introduced last year, and earlier 10K race start time as runners from around Chicagoland gather at the starting line on Memorial Day, Mon., May 26. Start times are 8 a.m. for the 10K, 8:10 a.m. for the youth mile for 6- to 12-year-olds, and 9:30 a.m. for the 5K run/walk. The Ridge Run’s three races start and finish at Ridge Park, 96th and Longwood Drive. |
