Every year thousands of people visit Beverly Hills/Morgan Park to participate in a variety of special events. Here are just a few of the community events you won’t want to miss!

35th Annual Home Tour

Sun., May 21, 2006:  Private homes significant for their architecture, history or decorating are opened for touring on the third Sunday of May for Chicagoland’s oldest annual home tour. The 36th edition of the Beverly Hills/Morgan Park Home Tour promises the traditional array of beautifully decorated vintage homes open for visitors, as well as some surprises when doors open at 11 a.m., Sun., May 21. Departing from Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Tickets are $25.00 until May 20, then $30.00.  Guided tours on trolley $3 additional. 28th Annual Ridge Run

Mon., May 29:  Established in 1978 as a 10K through the Ridge Historic District, today the Ridge Run, held on Memorial Day, attracts about 4,000 participants and includes 10K and 5K competitive races, plus a one-mile youth run, and a non-competitive tot run. Being introduced in 2005 is a timed 5K walk through historic Beverly/Morgan Park. Start/Finish: Ridge Park, 96th and Longwood Drive.

Beverly Hills/Morgan Park Memorial Day Parade

Mon., May 29: One of Chicagoland’s oldest and most charming neighborhood Memorial Day parades follows the Ridge Run and includes a ceremony honoring America’s armed services. This parade honoring the men and women in America's armed forces snakes down historic Longwood Drive.    Visit MEMORIAL DAY PARADE 2005

4th Annual Beverly Hills Cycling Classic

Friday, July 7: The International Cycling Classic stages the first thrilling race in its annual Superweek Pro-Am Tour on our hilly streets. 100k criterium for the International Pro-Am Cycling Classic, PLUS Tour de Beverly ride and Big Wheel race. Start/Finish 107th and Longwood Drive.     Visit BEVERLY HILLS CYCLING CLASSIC 2005!

Music Under the Stars
Sunday, August 6: Between vacations’ end and the beginning of school, families gather under the summer sky to enjoy live music, picnic fare, and a fireworks show. 6 p.m., Morgan Park Academy Grounds, 2153 W. 111th St. Tickets:  $10 per person or $20 per family advance; $12 per person or $22 per family at gate $8 for seniors.     Visit MUSIC UNDER THE STARS 2005!
